Server: Server Admin

  • Give fair warning prior to kicking or issuing a temporary ban
  • Only kick or ban, if necessary, based on the rules provided below
  • Admins will not kick anyone to make room for themselves when the server is full

Server: Kicks

  • No text spamming
  • No players with excessively high pings (250+ ms)

Server: Temporary Bans

  • No deliberate team killing
  • No advertising of products or services
  • No deliberately damaging or destroying friendly vehicles
  • No deliberately damaging or destroying opponent vehicles prior to usage
  • No recruiting unless you are a *Flaw member or affiliated clan friend
  • No repeated and deliberate team killing after getting kicked by the server
  • No driving vehicles into friendlies and jumping out prior to avoid team kills
  • No drama, disrespect, racism, bigotry, politics, religion or hateful comments

Server: Extended Bans

  • No exploitation of game flaws

Server: Permanent Bans

  • No server lagging
  • No server flooding
  • No server glitching
  • No server crashing
  • No under-aged gamers (17+ only)
  • NO CHEATING!

Warning: All of our manual server bans are available here for the world to see. Copy and paste our bans to your /pb/pbbans.dat directory then reboot. Being banned from our servers potentially means you will be banned from other servers too. We report all discovered cheaters to EA and DICE.

Website: No illegal content or pornography

  • Do not post illegal or pornographic content on our forums. If you ask a question that is concerning something of illegal nature on our forums that others can see, no warning will be given but your topic may get locked or deleted. If repeated posts of the same or similar subject are made, warnings may be issued. Posting illegal or pornographic content is a serious matter that we will not tolerate here.

Website: No advertising or recruitment

  • No advertising of products or services on our forums.
  • Recruitment by those not in *Flaw is not permitted on our forums as it is considered disrespectful and rude.

Website: No sharing confidential information

  • Sharing confidential information that a registered user may not wish to share with others is not allowed without explicit consent from that individual first. Confidential information includes/may include telling others their real name (first, middle and/or last), street address, IP address(es), where they go to school, their grades, who their friends are in real life, the names of their parents, pets, friends, or other relatives including kids, what job they have, criminal record(s), identifiable key features, financial situation, living conditions, hobbies, fetish(es), sexual preference or preferences of that individual (e.g. bigotry), any mental, physical or sociological issues you know that individual has or has had, or any other topics which may be considered private and confidential. Telling others confidential information of an individual registered here without their consent may result in a warning issued, loss of membership or a permanent ban depending on the nature of the information and the situation. This applies to everyone here regardless of their ranked title. The staff and management of *Flaw will protect people’s identity and information from others by not disclosing personal content, but certain material may be shared between each staff and management member if necessary (e.g. IP address(es)). However, if anyone outside of *Flaw (non-member/non-friend/not registered/someone not on good terms with an individual here, a group of individuals here, or all of *Flaw) shares something confidential online (over the Internet by e-mail, verbally through a chatting program, forums, blogs, etc.) regarding a registered user or users on these forums, or puts in a request to a person or group to hack/exploit this site and/or the forums, then whatever confidential information we have on that individual or individuals will be posted on these forums in public view for everyone to see. People here have been known to find other people’s true names, ages, IPs, e-mails and even phone numbers and home addresses.

Website and Server: No unwanted comments

  • Threats, harassment, racist or prejudice comments including bigotry is not allowed anywhere on this site or our server. Some may ignore or put up with it but others will not. Disrespecting people is grounds for membership dismissal, warnings and potential bans. If insults are not called for, don’t insult someone. Negative drama creates a bitter atmosphere for everyone and it does not represent what *Flaw stands for. We want mature members that are kind to one other, not the opposite.

Website and Server: Age limit

  • Due to no word censorship on our forums and our mandate to have mature members only, everyone must be at least 18+ years old to be a member of *Flaw. A minimum age limit of 13+ applies to be registered on our forums. Battlefield 3 has a mature 17+ rating as shown here. Gamers who use our server must all be 17+ years old. The same age restriction of 17+ applies on our Ventrilo server. If you are too young, immature regardless of age or you do not approve of violent video games and swearing, *Flaw is not for you.

Website and Server: Hassle-free atmosphere – Hakuna Matata

  • No drama or pestering others on our server or forums. Those that wish to deal with personal conflicts can do so via private message or e-mail. It does not need to be made public for everyone to see, nor will it.

Website: No sharing of accounts

  • If someone shares their log-in information with anyone else, that person’s account will be permanently banned. The person who creates an account on our forums is the person it belongs to. There is no trading or lending permitted.

Members:

  • Members must use our Ventrilo when playing on our server. All members are required to have a mic since good communication is a part of good teamwork. New members (Newbies) are not required to have a mic but must still use our Ventrilo.
  • Once approved for membership, members must use an asterisk (*) in their name on our forums and [Flaw] on our server.
  • All members must use our server to help populate and recruit new talent.

 

Guidelines:

  • Spam is not allowed except in the Spam forum. Examples of spam include useless posts/topics, quoting someone or yourself without adding additional content and replies that are off topic. We make exceptions for small things but if it becomes a problem, reminders and minor warnings may be issued.
  • We are not responsible for people’s actions. This includes members, non-members, friends and affiliates of *Flaw. If someone causes trouble with another guild, community, clan or individual, it is not our (*Flaw’s) responsibility.
